- Identifying and recording sites of archaeological interest of all periods - prehistoric, Roman and medieval?
- Helping with excavations as and when they become available, whether our own or others in the county.
- Archaelogical fieldwork activities such as fieldwalking, geophysical and land surveying?
- Learning how to identify and process finds, and to draw pottery etc.?
- Surveying historic buildings by detailed drawings and photography?
- Undertaking research using old maps and documents?
- Being kept informed of such work in north and central Gloucestershire by means of newsletters and the annual journal Glevensis?
- Attending regular winter meetings in Gloucester and Cheltenham on a wide range of archaeological and local history topics?
- Going on summer visits to excavations and places of historical interest?
