~ GLEVENSIS ~
the Review of the Gloucester and District Archaeological Research Society.
GADARG publishes annually, about April, a journal called GLEVENSIS (meaning 'of Gloucester'). This is in A4 softback format, usually of 60 or more pages, illustrated with many plans, line drawings and photographs. GLEVENSIS, which is available free to the Group's members, contains reports and articles, often by members themselves, both amateur and professional, covering a range of Gloucestershire archaeological and local history topics. It is recognised as maintaining a good academic and production standard. This is reflected by the fact that local government and contracting units often publish their interim reports, and sometime their only ones, in this review. The Gloucester Archaeology Unit's annual report of its diverse activities, including excavations and watching briefs, is featured in GLEVENSIS.

To give you a flavour of what GLEVENSIS has to offer, here are the contents of issue No. 43 (2010)

~ SUBMISSION OF MATERIAL FOR FUTURE ISSUES ~

The Editors are always delighted to receive items from members and non-members alike for publication in GLEVENSIS. Small pieces are equally as welcome as longer articles and reports. The editors can offer help with the text and with tidying up and laying out drawings and photographs etc., so no-one should feel put off by problems in these areas. It certainly will help if your work is typed or computer printed, even better if sent in on disk. One of the important functions of the Group's Review is to give an opportunity to the membership to publish their own research and fieldwork. Items for inclusion in the next issue should be sent, by October 31st, to:-
